ARCTIC EXPEDITION

Three four-wheel drive vehicles were prepared for the expedition – the Ford F-150 Raptor, the 2015 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and the army-standard Iveco Daily. A significant part of the planned route Almaty – Tiksi runs through areas of extreme off-road about 5000 km, as well as sparsely populated or deserted areas of the Russian North, the entire route was 19145 km, which we covered in 35 days. Route: Almaty – Karaganda – Ekibastuz – Pavlodar – Novosibirsk – Kemerovo – Krasnoyarsk – Irkutsk – Ulan-Ude – Chita – Tynda – Yakutsk – Khandyga – Teply Klyuch – Topolinoye – Batagai – Verkhoyansk (cold pole -52C) – Ust-Kuyga – Khayyr – Naiba – Tiksi The Yakut village of Tiksi is located beyond the Arctic Circle on the shore of the Laptev Sea. It is one of the northernmost settlements on the planet. In February 2019, a sky-blue flag with the sun and a soaring golden eagle was hoisted in Tiksi by our group of autotravel pilots. Our team from Almaty safely, but not without incident, made a unique rally in Tiksi. Until February 2019, no group from Kazakhstan or Asian countries had overcome such a grandiose and difficult route in a northern winter.
